Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 24, 2026 Last Updated: September 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Aelo Technologies LLC ("Blossm," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Blossm mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
The short version: Blossm's morning routines are checked on your phone with Apple's own frameworks. No audio, photo, or video ever leaves your device. We run no ads, we don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising trackers.
Blossm is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
1. What the App does with your camera, microphone, and sensors
Blossm is an alarm that stops when you complete a short routine. Some routines use your phone's sensors to check that you did it. All of this processing happens on your device.
- Microphone & speech recognition ("Say it out loud", "Three gratitudes"). When you speak, the App records a short, temporary audio file on your phone and uses Apple's on-device speech recognition to turn it into text, which is compared to your affirmation. The audio file is deleted the moment the check is done. The transcript is not stored. If Apple's on-device recognition is unavailable for your language, your phone may use Apple's speech service as described in Apple's privacy policy; Blossm itself never receives or transmits the audio.
- Camera ("Morning pose", "Squats"). The App shows a camera preview and uses Apple's Vision framework to detect whether a person is present and where a handful of body joints are (shoulders, hips, knees, and similar). Only those joint coordinates are used inside the App. No photo or video is captured, saved, or sent anywhere.
- Motion (accelerometer). Used to tell whether your phone is propped still during a pose and to help count movement. Not stored.
You can decline any of these permissions. Each routine has a fallback (such as holding a button to confirm) so the alarm can always be turned off.
2. Information you provide
- Your name (optional), used for greetings.
- Your email address, only if you sign in with email, Apple, or Google (see Section 5).
- Affirmations you choose or write, and gratitudes you say or type. These are stored on your device and, if you enable backup, in your account (see Section 5).
- Routine settings: alarm times, chosen routines and poses, rest days, reminders, and appearance preferences.
3. Information the App generates
- Your completions: which routine you completed, the date, how long it took, and whether a fallback was used.
- Your streak, calendar history, and any charms (badges) earned.
We never record what you said, typed, or looked like — only that a routine was completed.
4. Location (optional)
If you allow location access, the App uses your approximate location once per visit to show local weather on the Home screen. Coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo (a weather service) for that lookup only. We do not store your location, and we never track location in the background. Weather is cached on your device for about 30 minutes.
5. Accounts, sign-in and backup
Automatic backup account. When you first open Blossm, the App creates an anonymous account for your install: a random identifier with no name, email, or contact details attached. Your profile (name, goals, affirmations, streak, stats, charms), routine settings, alarms, and completion history are backed up under that identifier with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, so they can be restored.
Signing in (optional). You can sign in with Apple, Google, or your email address (we email you a one-time 6-digit code; there is no password). Signing in links your backup to that sign-in so you can restore your progress on a new phone or after reinstalling. Depending on the method, we receive:
- Sign in with Apple: a user identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email (you may hide your email with Apple's private relay address).
- Sign in with Google: a user identifier, your email address, and your Google profile name and picture link as provided by Google. We use only the identifier and email.
- Email: your email address. Sign-in codes are delivered through our email provider, Resend.
We never receive your Apple, Google, or email passwords. You can use Blossm without signing in; if you don't, your progress can't be restored on another phone.
6. Subscriptions and payments
Blossm offers an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to verify your subscription status and receive an anonymous purchase identifier and the status of your subscription for that purpose.
7. Analytics
We use Mixpanel to understand how the App is used and where routines are too strict — for example, "a routine was completed," "a fallback was used," or "the alarm fired late." Events are tied to a random per-install identifier and to your account's random identifier. We do not send your name or email address to Mixpanel. Analytics never include the content of your affirmations, gratitudes, audio, or camera data. We do not use advertising identifiers and do not track you across other apps or websites.
8. Notifications and alarms
Alarms and reminders are scheduled on your device using Apple's alarm and notification systems. We send no remote push notifications and no notification tokens are sent to our servers.
9. What we do not collect
No advertising identifiers, no contacts, no photos or videos, no audio recordings retained beyond the moment of checking, no health records, no background location. We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising.
10. Service providers
We share information only with the providers needed to run the App, each bound to use it solely for that purpose: Apple (App Store, payments, Sign in with Apple, on-device frameworks), Google (Sign in with Google, if you choose it), Supabase (accounts and backup), Resend (delivering sign-in code emails), RevenueCat (subscription status), Mixpanel (usage analytics), and Open-Meteo (weather lookups). We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or users.
11. Retention and deletion
- Temporary audio files are deleted immediately after each check; any leftover file is removed automatically within an hour.
- Settings → Delete account and data permanently deletes your account and everything backed up under it from our servers (Supabase), and wipes the data on your phone. Uninstalling the App removes the data on your phone only.
- You can also email contact@aelotech.com and we will delete your account within 30 days.
- Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage or cancel it in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Analytics events are retained by Mixpanel according to our settings, currently up to 12 months.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and to delete; we do not sell or "share" personal information as defined by that law. EU/UK residents have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR; our legal basis for processing is performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interest in improving the App. To exercise any right, email contact@aelotech.com.
13. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, and we minimise what we collect in the first place. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you as required by law.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the App.
